Pipeline Meeting in Bloomfield Township

Bloomfield Township officials scheduled a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16 to discuss a pipeline project that will include presentations by township consultants and representatives from Sunoco logistics. The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will hear public comment and then consider the final site plan for approval for an above-ground valve at the southwest corner of West Long Lake and Groton roads.


College Week

Several universities and colleges will visit Bloomfield Hills High School this week as part of the ongoing series of events leading up to College Night 2013 on Monday, Oct. 14. Slated to be on the Main Campus this week are:
  • Sept. 16 – University of Alabama; Adrian College; Specs Howard
  • Sept. 17 – University of Michigan; U of M Art & Design
  • Sept. 18 – Michigan State University, George Mason University
  • Sept. 19 - School of the Art Institute Chicago; University of Toledo; Case Western University
  • Sept. 20 - University of Toledo

First Homecoming

Tickets for the first Bloomfield Hills High School homecoming (Sept. 28) go on sale on Monday through Friday, Sept. 20 during A, B, & C lunches for $15. Late purchase tickets will be sold on Monday, Sept. 23 for $20.

Tea Time at the Townsend

Tea aficionados and novices are welcome at the Townsend Hotel's first-ever tea tasting event from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday,  Sept. 17 in the hotel’s Tea Lobby. The event will feature a variety of black teas and hors d’ oeuvres, and will be hosted by Howard Davis from Harney & Sons Tea Company. Admission is $20, and reservations can be made by calling 248.647.2196 or emailing lklein@townsendhotel.com.

Michigan Reads Woolbur

Celebrate Michigan Reads to Children Month with the whole family at the Baldwin Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m Wednesday with a reading of 2013 winner "Woolbur" by Leslie Helakoski. Stories, games and crafts featuring this clever lamb will follow.
