Tokyo Sushi in Ferndale: The restaurant – which has five other locations, including one in Royal Oak – has opened in the former location of Pete's Place, which closed in late November. The Hamilton Room in Birmingham: The bar and nightclub closed its doors last week. While the Hamilton Room still is available for private parties, the club held its "Omega Closing Party" on Saturday night. "The landscape in this town has become difficult to do business in with large venues, and especially difficult for nightclubs," Tracy Wilson, general manager of the Dali Restaurant Group, told Downtown Birmingham/Bloomfield.

Orange Leaf in Rochester Hills: The frozen yogurt franchise will open on the southeast corner of Tienken and Rochester roads in the plaza anchored by Big Boy and Bar Louie.
