World's Most Expensive Wine Was in Bloomfield Township This Week

Did you get a taste of the world's most expensive wine when it made an appearance in Bloomfield Township this week?

The $168,000 bottle of Penfolds Limited Edition Ampoule was available at a private event at Eddie Merlot's on Tuesday, according to an article at WXYZ.com.

Only 12 bottles of the wine have been made worldwide, WXYZ reports.

Eddie Merlot's Steakhouse in Bloomfield Township opened in May at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Big Beaver Road. Described as a high-end, fine-dining experience, Eddie Merlot's offers prime-aged steaks and an extensive selection of the finest wines.
