Lil' Chef Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect To Head to Trial
The man is accused of pulling a gun on the owner of the Brighton restaurant and demanding money in 2010.

The man accused of attempting to rob the Lil' Chef restaurant in 2010 is now set to head to trial, according to an article in the Press & Argus.
Kevin Michael Clark, 43, of Lansing, waived a probable cause hearing Wednesday in court, sending the case to trial, the article states. The trial date has yet to be set.
Clark is the suspect in an attempted armed robbery in December of 2010.

Brighton Police Chief Thomas Wightman told Patch in 2010 that the suspect entered the restaurant about 3 p.m. on a Monday, sat down and ordered lunch. After finishing his meal, he proceeded to the cash register, seemingly to pay his bill. However, the moment owner Scott Steele opened the register door, the man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, and started demanding money, Wightman said.
Lisa Quinn, a server at the restaurant, told Brighton Patch in 2010 that Steele simply replied, "No," and shut the register. She says that the suspect then ran out the first set of doors and ran into a locked door, with Steele close on his heels.

"Scott chased after him and jumped on his back, but wasn't able to hold him," Quinn said.
