• Chelsea Police and Fire Responded to Heavy Volume of Medical Calls, Several Serious Incidents (thesuntimesnews.com) — Emergency crews in Chelsea handled more than 70 mostly medical calls between Dec. 7 and 15, many involving seniors at local facilities and Chelsea Hospital. Police also investigated an assault and abduction report, gunshots on Jackson Street, fraud, suspected retail theft, and several crashes on I-94 and city streets, while fire crews checked multiple precautionary alarms in neighborhoods like Heritage Farms.
   

• Mary Ann Steptoe (thesuntimesnews.com) — Family, friends, and neighbors are gathering today in Chelsea to celebrate the life of 94-year-old Mary Ann Steptoe, who passed away at Chelsea Retirement Community. Her memorial service begins at 1 p.m. at Towsley Village Memory Care Center on Middle Street, with visitation at 12:30 p.m. and a Zoom livestream available for those unable to attend.
