Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Chelsea.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Chelsea to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.
1. Did you know?
Students at North Creek, South Meadows and Beach Middle School are encouraged to walk or bike to school. Every student that does will be entered to win a gift certificate for a new bicycle from Aberdeen Bike & Outdoors, as well as certificates for bike helmets.

2. In case you missed it!
- Chelsea First United Methodist Church is participating in KIDS HELPING KIDS
During the month of May, youth at First United Methodist will help foster children through the Methodist Children’s Home Society and sick children through C.S. Mott Childen’s Hospital by collecting items for a housewarming kit, art supplies, and fleece blankets.

3. Last Chance...
- Buy your tickets now for The Purple Rose's Actor Boot Camp
Spend three days of intensive study at the Purple Rose Theatre learning acting techniques used by working professionals. The boot camp features physical warm-ups, acting exercises, monologue work and a Q&A about the industry. Lunch is provided on Saturday. Taught by artistic director Guy Sanville and resident artist Michelle Mountain. Friday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
4. Local Voice of the Week
If you know anything about Silver Maples, then you know that retirement’s been redefined. And now this Chelsea non-profit retirement “neighborhood,” has a new look to match its vibrant, dynamic soul.

- Election Day is May 7
