Road Commission Plans Werkner Road Reconstruction (chelseaupdate.com) — Werkner Road between M-52 and Sibley in Sylvan Township will be fully reconstructed in 2026, with wider paved and gravel shoulders and a complete rebuild of the worn pavement. The Washtenaw County Road Commission will close the road during construction, maintain access for local residents and businesses, and hold public information meetings in February 2026 for nearby Chelsea-area drivers.
   

2. Chelsea Education Foundation Celebrates Another Successful Year of Supporting Schools (chelseaupdate.com) — Chelsea Education Foundation is wrapping up 2025 by funding a wide range of literacy and enrichment programs across the Chelsea School District, from Big Book Stands at North Creek to new memoir units at Chelsea High School. Community support from the Sip at Serendipity fundraiser and local sponsors is driving grants for field trips, drama, STEAM projects, and more, with residents still invited to donate.
   

3. Lyndon Twp: Board Meeting Synopsis 10/14/25 (thesuntimesnews.com) — Lyndon Township’s October 14 board meeting in Chelsea approved creating a part-time IT/Web Support role and a higher-paid Broadband Administrator position, shifting funds from the deputy supervisor line. Officials also backed rustic-focused DNR park development, updated bank signatories, and reappointed several board members, decisions that shape services and broadband planning for township residents near Chelsea.
   

4. First Ann Arbor-area girls basketball power rankings for 2025-26 (mlive.com) — Chelsea High School’s girls basketball team debuts at No. 4 in the first Ann Arbor-area power rankings for the 2025–26 season, sitting at 1–1. The list also tracks early momentum for nearby programs like Dexter, Saline, Ypsilanti schools, and Ann Arbor powers.
