Accident Closes Groesbeck For Bridge Repairs

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — M-97/Groesbeck is closing right now between Cass Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue for the Rose Street pedestrian bridge to come down immediately. It was hit and bridge inspectors say it has to come down and cannot have traffic underneath, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The bridge is expected to be pulled down Friday afternoon. M97/Groesbeck is expected to reopen very late Friday or early Saturday morning, MDOT said. Patch will keep you updated as details become available.
