Clinton Township Teen Arrested in Mount Clemens Home Invasion

A Clinton Township teen has been arrested in connection with a home invasion that took place late Friday on Euclid Street in Mount Clemens.
The 17-year-old is being held on a $25,000 cash bond and is expected to face one count of second degree home invasion when arraigned in district court, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Officers also arrested a 21-year-old Roseville man who is being held on a $50,000 cash bond. The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has authorized charges of second degree home invasion and resisting and obstructing arrest for this suspect, the sheriff's office reports.

The home invasion was reported around 11:19 p.m. Friday. The homeowner told police that when she returned to her Euclid Street residence, she found a window shattered and her home ransacked.
Deputies responded to the home and were able to track foot prints in the snow leading away from the scene. A sheriff’s K9 unit followed the track to a nearby apartment complex where deputies learned two men were hiding, according to the sheriff's office.Â

The suspects were arrested and the stolen items recovered from the apartment, the sheriff's office reports.
This case remains under investigation.Â
