'Dateline NBC' Revisits Comic Book Murder Case in Clinton Township

Eleven video excerpts from the episode are now available on Dateline's website, including 2 1/2 minutes of unaired interview time with a key witness in the Macomb County prosecutor's case against Michael George.

One of Clinton Township's most infamous crimes hit primetime Friday, with Dateline NBC's coverage of the 1990 killing dubbed the "Comic Book Murder."

In July 1990, 32-year-old Barbara George was found shot to death in a backroom of the Clinton Township comic book store she owned with her husband.

With no murder weapon and minimal witness testimony, the case was closed. It was re-opened in 2006 by Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith.
