Fraser Sinkhole: Gov. Snyder Adds Clinton Township To Macomb County's State Of Emergency
The declaration now makes state resources, including money and manpower, available to Clinton Township in Fraser sinkhole fiasco.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Gov. Rick Snyder announced that Clinton Township is now included in the Macomb County state of emergency, which was sparked by the colossal sewer break in Fraser, according to a press release. The sewer line collapse happened on Dec. 24, triggering a roughly 250 feet long and 100 feet wide sinkhole in the area of 15 Mile Rd. and Hayes Rd. in Fraser.
“The Township of Clinton has experienced damage from the collapsed sewer line, similar to what Fraser has been dealing with,” Gov. Snyder said in a statement. He continued, “They also have declared a local State of Emergency and activated their emergency response plan to cope with this situation.”
Gov. Snyder's declaration now makes state resources (i.e. money and manpower) available to Clinton Township to combat the sewer fiasco. Before the declaration, Clinton Township was limited to managing the disaster with local resources.
