GoFundMe Page Created To Benefit The Family Of James Capizzo

Clinton Township man James Capizzo was murdered in Dec. 2016, leaving behind his wife of 26 years and three children.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — James Capizzo was killed at the age of 44 in what the Macomb County Sheriff's Office is calling a horrific robbery. The Clinton Township man was shot in the back of the head and found by Deputies lying in a snowbank in Mt. Clemens on Dec. 26. Capizzo died from his injury two days later, leaving behind his wife of 26 years, Nichole, and three children.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with Capizzo's murder and are due back in 41B District Court of Clinton Township on Jan. 22.

Now, loved ones of Capizzo are rallying around his family and have created a GoFundMe page, Donations for the Capizzo family. The fund was originally started by Samantha Leitjen, the sister-in-law of Nichole Capizzo. Below please find details of the GoFundMe page:

We are sad to inform everyone that Jamie passed away today, December 28, 2016 at McLaren Hospital in Mount Clemens, MI. The money raised in this campaign will go to his wife Nichole, for his funeral services. Nichole has been out of work since he was brought to the hospital early Monday morning. There will also be a fundraiser for Capizzo's family at Total Sports (40501 Production Dr., Harrison Township) on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 4:00 p.m. The $15 admission cost will include unlimited pizza, salad and soda.
