MSU Extension Offers Free Forum to Help Voters Make Sense of Ballot Proposals

The forum will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the MSU Extension Assembly Rooms in the VerKuilen Building in Clinton Township.

With six statewide proposals on the Nov. 6 ballot – not to mention numerous local millages and races – voters may feel as though they're taking a reading comprehension test rather than exercising their constitutional right.

To help voters make sense of the commercials, paperwork and peer pressure to vote "yes" or "no" on this year's ballot proposals, Michigan State University Extension is hosting a Ballot Proposal Forum on Oct. 24 to provide factual, unbiased information on each proposal.

The forum will also provide the opportunity for participants to discuss the proposals with other citizens and MSU policy experts via live webinar.
