1 Dead in Early-Morning Car Accident at 17 Mile, Clinton River Road

A 24-year-old Macomb Township resident, Bobby Moore, died during the crash while the passenger, also a Macomb Township resident, had non-life threatening injuries.

Clinton Township police are investigating after a Macomb Township man died early Saturday morning in a car crash at Clinton River and 17 Mile Road. 

According to a report on Click On Detroit, the car was driven by 24-year-old Macomb Township resident Bobby Moore and was traveling eastbound on Clinton River Road around 4 a.m. 

Police say he was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car. Moore was pronounced dead at McLaren Macomb hospital.

Meanwhile, Click On Detroit reports that the passenger in the vehicle, a 25-year-old man also from Macomb, was also taken to McLaren for non-life threatening injuries. 

Police believe alcohol or drugs have been involved in the crash and are waiting for medical reports to confirm, according to the report. No other vehicles were involved.
