Scammers Posing As Sheriff's Office Solicitors

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Several Macomb County residents have been solicited for money from someone claiming to be affiliated with the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said it a scam and is warning residents to not fall victim, according to a Macomb Daily report.

“The caller is illegally soliciting funds and calling from 586-484-4598, officials reported.”

“The caller is acting fraudulently and is not affiliated with the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office,” Wickersham said.
