Sheriff's Office To Provide Fire Dispatch Services

Services will be provided to three Macomb County communities starting Monday.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — On Monday, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office will begin providing full emergency fire dispatch services for Washington and Harrison township as well the Mt. Clemens Fire Department. The Sheriff’s Office currently provides police dispatch services for each community.

In 2016, community leaders approached the Sheriff’s Office requesting full emergency fire dispatch services be added to existing contracts. By combining dispatch services, response times in the field will be shortened. In addition, fire personnel that traditionally would have remained at the fire station to dispatch a call will be made available to respond to the emergency call for service.
