Take Me Out to the Vintage Baseball Game

Formed in Sterling Heights in 2002, moved to Clinton Township in 2010 and is currently working to partner with the Clinton Township Historical Society to play at the Historic Village in the Civic Center. There are only a handful of vintage baseball clubs in Michigan and the Regulars take great pride in preserving their game as it was played in 1867, from the uniforms and equipment to the distance between the bases.

Clinton-Macomb Public Library

Don't let the library stereotype deter you from visiting this Clinton Township gem. There are no dusty shelves or decaying card catalogs here. Boasting two locations in Clinton Township, the main branch is home to the Sunday concert series, Friends of the Library Used Book Nook, Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, a local history room and a variety of traveling exhibits. It also houses a collection of some 200,000 items, including books, DVDs, foreign language materials and audio books. The children's section is a must-visit with a storytime alcove, puppet stage and thousands of age-appropriate reads.

The Green Lantern Pizzeria

Located in the former City Pub Grill at 15505 15 Mile Rd., The Green Lantern Pizzeria is gaining notoriety fast among new customers and those who remember the original Green Lantern in Madison Heights. Although the restaurant only opened Jan. 1, customer turnout has been massive, with table wait times stretching 60 minutes or more at the dinner hour.

The Mall at Partridge Creek

One of the largest shopping centers in the county, Patridge Creek isn't exactly "hidden," but it does boast many treasures that casual visitors may overlook. For instance, did you there are two international bocce courts within the mall? Those wishing to play can check the court out for free at customer service, using balls provided by the mall or their own set. How about the two electric vehicle charging stations in the front parking lot that are free to mall patrons? There's also the winter tree lighting ceremony that draws thousands of guests each year and a concert series that brings the music of local bands to the mall on summer evenings and weekends. 

The "Mighty Clinton River"

Did you know the Clinton River is home to Class II and III rapids? Although canoe and kayak trips along the Clinton River are growing in popularity, this attraction has only just arrived in Clinton Township. Starting this spring, canoe and kayak enthusiasts can start their trip along the Clinton River from Budd Park. Not a fan of paddle sports? George George Park on Moravian borders the Clinton River and offers walking trails, playground equipment and picnic areas.
