Woman Allegedly Stabs Man Following Relationship Status Talk
Police say a 29-year-old woman stabbed a 39-year-old man more than nine times after he wouldn't "make a commitment" to her.

ROSEVILLE, MI — A 29-year-old Roseville woman allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old Detroit man more than nine times after he wouldn't "make a commitment" to her, according to media reports.
The man told Roseville police he and the suspect had been arguing about their relationship status on Jan. 15, The Detroit News reports. Police say the man wouldn't "make a commitment" to the suspect as the pair had been briefly dating.
Following the relationship talk, police report the man fell asleep, only to awaken in pain with the suspect standing over him holding a knife. He escaped the home in the 29000 block of Utica while neighbors in the apartment complex alerted 9-1-1. Arriving paramedics report the man was suffering from neck and back stab wounds and transported him to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to live.

The suspect was arrested and lodged at Macomb County Jail pending arraignment on the felony charge of assault with intent to commit murder. If found guilty, the suspect is possibly looking at life in prison, according to Michigan law.
