$448.7M Powerball Jackpot Won

A single ticket matched the Powerball winning numbers Saturday.

METRO DETROIT, MI — After 19 straight Powerball Jackpot rollovers, a winning ticket was sold Saturday. One ticket sold in California matched all the winning numbers that reached an estimated $448.7. The lump sum payout for the winning ticket would be $279.1 million.

Lottery officials said one ticket purchased in Sun City, California matched all the numbers for the grand prize. The winning numbers were 20, 26, 32, 38 and 58, with a Powerball of 3.

The last Powerball drawing to produce a jackpot winner was on April 1, according to media reports. California is one of 44 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, that participate in Powerball.

Saturday's Powerball Jackpot was the seventh largest in Powerball history, Reuters reported. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time. The record in the game was a $1.6 billion drawing in January 2016.
