5th Grade Student Suspended for Threatening Classmates at Dearborn Public Schools
A middle school student was suspended for posting threatening images on his Instagram account.

A fifth grade student at Dearborn Public Schools was suspended for 10 days for allegedly making threating comments to classmates online on Monday, school officials said.
According to David Mustonen, communications coordinator for DPS, the student was posting pictures onto a social media website, however he could not reveal the nature of the photos.
"The suspension is standard procedure as we continue our investigation. We have been in contact with the Dearborn Police and they are involved in the investigation," Mustonen said.

"At this time we have determined that no students or staff were in any immediate danger but these types of comments are taken very seriously by the district and we will work with the Dearborn Police, the student's family, and the school to determine the student's intentions and, if any, further disciplinary action," Mustonen added.
The student's name and school have not been released as of this posting.
