Dancer With Dearborn Ties Wows Judges on 'So You Think You Can Dance'
Northville native Amy Yakima, who studied dance in Dearborn, passed the first round of auditions on the show's 10th season.
A former Dearborn dance student is hoping to become “America’s Favorite Dancer” and showing the world that she can dance.
The dance audition for Amy Yakima, 19, appeared last night on “So You Think You Can Dance," and the three judges of the Fox Network series were so impressed they sent her to the second round.
“You were absolutely spectacular,” judge Mary Murphy said after Yakima’s audition. “You make it look effortless. The hair went up on my arms and it doesn’t happen very often, I’ll be honest with you.”
