Dearborn Mayor, Wife Recover From Coronavirus
"As of April 28, I am recovered from COVID-19, as is my wife, Christina," the mayor said in a Facebook post.
DEARBORN, MI — The mayor of Dearborn took to social media Wednesday morning and announced that he and his wife had tested positive for the coronavirus and have since recovered.
Mayor John B. O'Reilly, Jr. said he and his wife, Christina, are grateful to have made it through the illness and now feel "restored to our usual vitality." They discovered they had recovered Tuesday.
"Although I am a public figure, I am someone, like many of you, who values personal and family privacy," O'Reilly wrote in the social media post. "But I feel compelled to share my recent experience with you, because it may mirror your own challenges, or that of your loved ones. It also is a message of both caution and of optimism.
