• Dearborn School Board Member Says He Was Arrested In Israel After Performing A Comedy Show (patch.com) — Dearborn residents are rallying around school board member and comedian Amer Zahr after he says Israeli police briefly arrested and questioned him in Nazareth following a comedy show. Zahr describes being denied access to his lawyer and pressured to sign a Hebrew document he couldn’t read, but says he was released in time to finish his performances. He publicly thanked the Dearborn community for its support, while state Rep. Alabas Farhat of Dearborn urged U.S. officials to ensure Zahr’s safety and well-being.
   

• NMU's Dobert named D2 All-American (ironmountaindailynews.com) — A standout Northern Michigan University running back who grew up in Dearborn has been named a Division II Second Team All-American, a first for the Wildcats from that voters’ group. Redshirt freshman Noah Dobert shattered NMU and Division II rushing records this season, including a 406-yard game, bringing national attention to a hometown product despite the team’s losing record.
   

• Michigan gas prices rise slightly to closeout 2025 (uppermichiganssource.com) — Drivers around Dearborn will see slightly higher gas prices as Michigan’s average for regular unleaded has climbed to $2.80 per gallon, still below the national average. Prices are up 8 cents from last week but remain 22 cents cheaper than this time last year, with notable variation across Michigan counties.
