The following information was supplied by the Dearborn Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police caught two men attempting to steal a parking meter in the city of Dearborn over the weekend.
According to police reports, while on patrol on June 1, officers were flagged down by an employee at Post Bar, located at 22065 Michigan Ave. The employee informed officers that he had witnessed an unknown man steal a parking meter from the city parking lot behind the bar.
The employee stated that around 2:25 a.m. he heard a loud crash come from outside the bar. Upon investigating, he witnessed the suspect pick up a large object and put it in the bed of a pickup truck before fleeing the area heading westbound on Village Drive.
After noticing the parking meter missing, the employee called 911 to report the theft. A short time later, officers stopped a vehicle matching the witness' description of a 2010 blue Ford F-150 truck near Telegraph and Michigan Avenue.
Officers searched the vehicle and found the bare pole from the parking meter in the bed of the truck. The suspects, a 29-year-old Dearborn man, and a 30-year-old Dearborn Heights man, were arrested for larceny of a coin machine and taken to the Dearborn Police Department.
Gasoline theft
On May 31, officers with the Dearborn Police Department were dispatched to the Mobil gas station in the 1000 block of Vernon Street in response to a report of a gasoline theft.According to police reports, the gas station attendant informed officers that an unknown suspect driving a black four-door sedan had stolen $55.75 in gas at approximately 5:45 p.m.
The attendant told police that the driver came into the store and paid $1.09 to fill up a portable gas can. After returning to the gas pump, the man motioned for the attendant to leave the pump on. The attendant quickly became busy with other customers and did not realize that the man had left without paying for the extra gas.
Police reviewed the store's surveillance tapes, however the suspect's license plate was indistinguishable.Â
