Dearborn Police Seek Suspect in Purse Snatching

The Dearborn Police are asking for the public's help to catch an unknown suspect involved in an alleged robbery on April 29.
According to police, at approximately 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to Express Poultry, located at 15038 W. Warren Ave., in response to a robbery that had just occurred.
Police said a woman was injured after her purse was stolen in an attack at the restaurant. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inches tall, medium build, in his 30s. The suspect has a round face and was wearing a dark colored shirt at the time of the attack.

According to police, the suspect's vehicle is a gold or tan 1990 Chrysler New Yorker with a rear rag top, and body damage on the exterior of the vehicle. The suspect fled in the vehicle northbound on Payne Road from Warren Avenue after witnesses attempted to intervene in the assault.
The victim's purse was recovered in the 9500 block of St. Mary's Street in the city of Detroit, however the victim's credit cards, cash, jewelry and a wallet containing paperwork were missing.
"We will use all available resources to identify and apprehend the suspects," Chief Ronald Haddad said in a press release.
