Donations Still Needed for Dearborn Resident Fighting Uterine Cancer

Lisa Marie Gutowski is asking for some financial support as she battles against uterine cancer.

Donations are still being accepted for an online campaign to help Dearborn resident Lisa Marie Gutowski fund her battle against uterine cancer.

Gutowski, a massage therapist and energy worker, created the fundraiser on GoFundMe.com in September with the help of her family and friends, to help ease the burden of piling up medical bills.

So far Gutowski and her family have raised $1,287 through her GoFundMe campaign. Their goal is to raise a total of $25,000.

Gutowski was diagnosed with uterine cancer in June and has since completed two rounds of chemotherapy. With four more rounds of chemotherapy ahead of her, each 21 days apart, she will likely not be able to resume full-time employment until 2014.
