Employee Shoots Himself At Woodhaven Plant: Ford
Ford Motor Company said one of its employees shot himself Friday morning. No other injuries were reported.

A Ford Motor Company employee at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant is dead after shooting himself at the West Road facility Friday morning, according to multiple media reports. No other employees were injured or shot at, WDIV-TV reported.
“Employees at Woodhaven Stamping Plant are safe after they were evacuated when a worker pulled a gun at the plant and shot himself. Woodhaven Police are on the scene," Ford said in a statement.
WDIV quoted Woodhaven Deputy Chief of Police Scott Fraczek as saying the employee entered the planting with the idea of resolve a labor relation issue. But as officers approached him, he pulled a gun out and shot himself.

Michigan State Police also responded to the scene after the man was seen dropping a package in the building, WDIV reported. A K9 officer later cleared the package and the plant is now secure.

Approximately 420 Ford employees work at the stamping plant, the Detroit Free Press reported. Door panels, hoods, quarter panels, and other vehicle parts are manufactured at the facility, which sits on 360 acres east of I-75.
