DEARBORN, MI –The holiday is coming up and that means some city services will be affected.

The Independence Day holiday on July 4 will cause a delay in trash pickup and closure of city buildings. Trash, recycling and yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day beginning Thursday, July 4, through the end of the week, ending with the collection of the Friday district on Saturday, July 6.

The Dearborn Administrative Center, Dearborn Ice Skating Center, Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, and city libraries will be closed Thursday, July 4.

The Robert Herndon Dearborn Hills Golf Course will remain open all day.

All city buildings will reopen Friday, July 5.
