Gun Stolen from McDonald's Restroom

A .38-caliber handgun was allegedly stolen from a restroom at the McDonald's on Wyoming Drive in Dearborn on April 18.

According to police reports, Dearborn police officers were dispatched to the restaurant around 12:15 p.m. when a 70-year-old man reported his Sig Sauer semi-automatic pistol was missing.

The man informed police that he placed the gun on the toilet paper dispenser and forgot to take it with him upon exiting the restroom. Police said that a store employee discovered the gun and informed a manager, who attempted to retrieve it.

After searching the restroom for the gun, the manager reported the theft to police.

Store security surveillance show three males enter and exit the restroom quickly with two white plastic bags after they employee left the room unattended.

Police searched the surrounding area for the suspects with no results.
