Volunteer City Beautiful commissioners work every year with the Dearborn Property Maintenance and Development Services Department to appraise Dearborn's neighborhoods. They look for exemplary stewardship of residential properties, according to a news release.

Honorees are selected from among the 17 districts created by the commission so all parts of the city are represented, officials said.
