Suspected Stolen SUV Recovered: Police

The SUV was left running for several hours before a Dearborn resident called police.

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn Police recovered a SUV near the corner of Ruby Avenue and Williamson Street. A resident alerted police that a Chevy Trailblazer had been sitting with its engine running for several hours with no drive, according to a Dearborn Press and Guide report.

A license plate check revealed the SUV was stolen near Wayne State University in Detroit. Police found the vehicle’s driver’s side door had its lock punched out and the ignition was removed.
The car was impounded and kept by Dearborn police as evidence.
