Thousands Brave Cold Weather to Run in Martian Marathon

The annual Dearborn event raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

A mix of blustery winds and rain weren't enough to keep thousands of runners away from Dearborn on Saturday for the annual Martian Marathon.

Now in its seventh year, the fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society  and Dearborn Parks and Recreation Commission, draws more than 10,000 runners to the city every year.

Patch was on site with local photographer Ian Kushnir to capture the spirit of the 10K, 5K, and children's marathon.
