DEARBORN, MI — President Donald Trump appeared to flip off a Ford worker during a heated exchange Tuesday at the Rouge factory in Dearborn.

Cellphone video posted on TMZ appears to show the worker yelling "pedophile protector," to Trump, who then responded with "f--- you," and gave the person the middle finger.

The worker's statement is likely a reference to the Trump administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Ford issued a statement in response to the incident:

We had a great event today, and we’re proud of how our employees represented Ford. We’ve seen the clip you’re referring to. One of our core values is respect, and we don’t condone anyone saying anything inappropriate like that within our facilities. When that happens, we have a process to deal with it, but we don’t get into specific personnel matters.

Trump toured the Rouge factory in Dearborn before speaking to the Detroit Economic Club at the Motor City Casino. He touted his victory in Michigan in the 2024 election, applauded the economy and defended his use of tariffs.

It was his first visit to Michigan since April 2025.
