Trump Takes Aim At Debbie Dingell, Late Husband John Dingell
At his Michigan rally, President Donald Trump suggested the late Rep. John Dingell was in hell "looking up" at them, offending his widow.

MICHIGAN - During his Michigan rally, President Donald Trump targeted many politicians, but one attack on the local widow and Rep. Debbie Dingell summoned a sour reaction from many.
During the campaign rally as the House voted to impeach him for abuse of power, Trump used the night to take aim at Dingell, Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Pete Buttigieg, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Jim Comey, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, Barack Obama, former vice president Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Beto O'Rourke, media outlets, House Democrats and many more.
"Debbie Dingell, that's a real beauty," he said of the congresswoman, noting he was watching her on TV during impeachment proceedings. He said he gave the family the "A treatment" after Rep. John Dingell died, and she told him, in an emotional call, that John Dingell was "thrilled" looking down from heaven.

"My husband earned all his accolades after a lifetime of service," she said. "I’m preparing for the first holiday season without the man I love. You brought me down in a way you can never imagine, and your hurtful words just made my healing much harder."
Family friend and U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, tweeted that Trump owed Dingell an apology.
U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Rochester Hills, came to Dingell's defense on Twitter.
"This is shameful Mr. President," Stevens wrote. "Insinuating that John Dingell, a loving catholic, WWII hero, now rests in hell. How dare you? I have no words for the pain you are causing my dear friend Debbie Dingell and the people of Michigan right now."
U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, also took to Twitter to stand with Dingell.
"Mr. President, shame on you," said Slotkin. "Going after Rep. John Dingell, a WWII vet and devoted public servant who spent his life fighting for Michiganders, demeans you and your office."
