'We Are Dearborn" Exhibit Shows City's Diversity
The exhibit, part of the Arts Dearborn month long initiative, is on display in two Dearborn locations through the end of April.

DEARBORN, MI – “We Are Dearborn,” an exhibit of more than 20 larger-than-life photographs depicting the diversity of people that reside in Dearborn is on display in two Dearborn locations through the end of April. The exhibit, part of the Arts Dearborn month long initiative, features the work of two local photographers, Teresa Lousias and Leslie Herrick, and student photographers who participated in the most recent SURA Arts Academy, an award-winning program of the Arab American National Museum.
Described as a “walk around on the outside looking in” exhibit, the large photographs are of people of different ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. Each subject looks directly at the viewer with one message – “We Are Dearborn.” The West Dearborn exhibit is located on 1034 Monroe at West Village Drive. Seventeen photographs are visible in the first floor windows around the building. Six photographs are exhibited in the windows of the East Dearborn Downtown Development office located at 13746 Michigan Avenue at Maple.
Arts Dearborn is coordinated by the Dearborn Community Fund. Support is provided by the East and West Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities. Additional project support is provided by the City of Dearborn and the Dearborn Recreation Commission Cultural Arts Committee.
