Woman Allegedly Steals Nike Socks from Macy's in Dearborn
The following information was supplied by the Dearborn Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old Inkster woman was arrested for attempting to shoplift several pairs of socks from Macy's at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn on Sept. 2.
According to police, around 8 p.m., the store's loss prevention staff observed the woman conceal three sets of Nike basketball socks, two sets of solid cotton socks and one six-pack of sports socks in her purse.
Security employees said the woman attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. After being questioned, the woman was detained for the Dearborn Police.
Officers searched the woman's purse and found items valued at $108 from Macy's. In addition, items from Clare's, Aeropostale and Icing were also confiscated. The woman told police that she bought the items the day prior, but could not produce a receipt. All of the items still had tags and were confiscated for safe keeping.
The woman was cited for third degree retail fraud and released on a $400 bond.
