Son Stabs Woman To Death In Dearborn: Police
Police were still investigating the incident and trying to determine a motive.
DEARBORN, MI — A mother was stabbed to death by her son at a Dearborn home Sunday night, according to police.
Officers were called at 7:35 p.m. to a home in the 7800 block of Reuter Street where they found 70-year-old Jamila Alwan stabbed to death, according to police.
Officers arrested the woman's son, a man in his 30s, in connection with the stabbing incident, according to police. He could be charged as early as Tuesday.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim. Senseless acts of this nature can shake the community to its core," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said. "We will continue this investigation diligently in order to deliver justice for the victim."
