2 Accused, 1 Arraigned In Triple Shooting At Detroit Gas Station
The victims — who were 20, 24 and 30 years old — did not die, prosecutors said.
DETROIT, MI — Prosecutors have accused two Detroit men in the non-fatal triple shooting at a Detroit gas station July 21.
Derrick Lamarr Jackson, 38, and Damario Lamar Jackson, 20, both of Detroit, have been charged with felonies in connection with the shooting, in which three people were shot but nobody died, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Damario Jackson was arraigned Tuesday afternoon by 36th District Court Magistrate Malaik Ramsey-Heath on three counts of assault with intent to murder, three counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a firearm with unlawful intent and seven counts of felony firearms, prosecutors said.

Derrick Jackson is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearms, prosecutors said. He is expected to be arraigned on a future date. Prosecutors said that date has yet to be determined after he was originally scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.
According to prosecutors, officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to a gas station in the 24700 block of West Seen Mile Road around 6 p.m. July 21 following the report of shots fired. When officers arrived, prosecutors said, they found three men with gunshot wounds in the gas station parking lot. The victims were 20, 24 and 30 years old, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said an argument escalated to the non-fatal shootings. Follow-up investigation led to the arrest of the accused, prosecutors said.
Damario Jackson is scheduled to appear in court again at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 10 for a probable cause conference. Preliminary examination in his case is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 17. Both hearings are scheduled to be before 36th District Court Judge Kenyetta Stanford-Jones. Damario Jones' bail was set at $750,000.
