DETROIT — Two children froze to death Monday morning while sleeping inside a van that was parked at Detroit's Hollywood Casino in Greektown, according to multiple news reports.
Police said five children were sleeping in the van that was parked inside the structure when the mother noticed her 9-year-old son and 2-year-old girl were not breathing, according to news reports.
A family arrived and took the children to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to news reports.

Officials were still trying to determine the cause of death, but they believe the children froze to death, according to news reports.
