3 Dead, 2 Hurt In Detroit House Fire: Firefighters
Fire officials were still investigating the cause of the fire.
DETROIT — Three people are dead and two others were hurt in a Detroit house fire Monday morning, according to fire officials.
The fire happened at 6 a.m. Monday at a home in the area of 7 Mile and Woodward, fire officials said.
Firefighters said multiple people were trapped inside the burning home. They were able to rescue an elderly woman and a teen, but obstacles inside the home kept them from saving anyone else, fire officials said.

They eventually found two people dead inside the home and another man injured outside the home, fire officials said.
The teen died on the way to the hospital, while the man and elderly woman were being treated for their injuries at a nearby hospital, fire officials said.

Fire officials said one was in critical condition and the other was stable, fire officials said.
Investigators did not immediately know the age or gender of the victims who died in the fire. They do not know what caused the fire.
