330K Jeep Grand Cherokees Recalled Over Steering Wheel Issue; Drivers Could Lose Control
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 12.
AUBURN HILLS, MI — Chrysler is recalling more than 330,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs due to a steering wheel issue that could cause drivers to lose control.
The affected 2021-23 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-23 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles have an upper control arm ball joint and steering knuckle that may separate and cause the wheel to fall outward, according to a document from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration dated Tuesday.
Dealers will replace the upper control arm pinch bolts for free on the 338,238 potentially affected vehicles. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 12.
