5 Arrested In Detroit Armed Robbery Of Amazon Delivery Driver: Police
Officers used help from a police helicopter to track down the suspects, according to Michigan State Police.

DETROIT — Five people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery of an Amazon driver in Detroit earlier this week, according to Michigan State Police.
The robbery happened at 6 p.m. Tuesday night in the 5700 block of Courville, near East Outer Drive where an Amazon driver was delivering packages, according to police.
The drive told officers that five people dressed in all black, announced a robbery, and began stealing packages at gunpoint from the Amazon truck, according to police.

The thieves then got into a dark-colored SUV and sped away from the area, according to police.
The delivery driver called police and officers began searching the area for the suspected thieves, according to police.

With help from a police helicopter, officers at 10:16 p.m. found the SUV moving in the area, according to police.
The video from the helicopter showed three people getting out of the SUV and running into an Eastpointe home, while carrying packages, according to police.
The SUV then left the area, but returned shortly later and picked up the three people and drove away again, according to police.
The SUV eventually stopped at Berkshire and Greensboro streets where all five suspected thieves got out of the SUV and ran, as officers followed close behind, according to police.
Officers eventually captured all five suspects and arrested them in connection with the armed robbery, according to police.
Police did not release their names.
