5 Things To Do This Weekend In The Detroit Area
Monster Jam, Motor City Open squash battles and the Ferndale Blues are just a few activities to add to your weekend schedule.

DETROIT, MI — Do you have any weekend adventures planned? Check out the following Detroit area activities to add to your itinerary.
1. Start jamming! Monster Jam makes its way to Detroit's Ford Field on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m. Check out trucks like Grave Digger, Dragon and Monster Mutt Dalmatian magically soar through the air and somehow inexplicably land on all their wheels. Tickets start at $15.
2. Do you have the Blues? You will after this weekend. Ferndale's Blues and Music Festival kicks off this weekend with over 60 concerts and music events at venues across Ferndale and Hazel Park. Most of the shows are free however any donations will go towards the Ferndale Youth Assistance. Click here for details.

3. Calling all squash lovers. The Motor City Open will feature some of the top squash players from all over the world battling on the court at the Birmingham Athletic Club. Click here for info.
4. Add a dose of culture to your Friday night by hitting up a free performance of the Civic Youth Ensemble Slatkin String Quartet at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The concert is Fri., Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Also, while you're at the symphony, check out tickets for Mozart Fest. Tickets are $15 and up.

5. How about adding some bubbles to your weekend? Royal Oak's Blackfinn's is hosting a champagne celebration called Bubble Fest on Fri. Jan. 27 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include 10 champagne cocktail samples and appetizers. Cheers.
