Charges Filed In Sunday Shooting At Detroit Coney Island
A Detroit man has been accused of shooting and killing three people and wounding another.
DETROIT, MI — A Detroit man has been charged with murder in connection with the triple homicide at a Detroit Coney Island Sunday.
Mickey Dane Douglas, 25, of Detroit, is charged with three counts of first degree murder, one count of assault with intent to murder, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and five counts of felony firearm, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Prosecutors said Douglas is accused of shooting and killing 34-year-old Brian Jackson, 24-year-old Carnell Watts and 20-year-old Courtney Willis, all of Detroit. Prosecutors also accused Douglas of the non-fatal shooting of a 28-year-old Detroit man.

Prosecutors said police were dispatched to a Coney Island in the 9100 block of Dexter Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived to the scene, they found a man's body in the parking lot, prosecutors said. Inside the restaurant, officers said they found two more bodies and a surviving victim who had multiple gunshot wounds, according to prosecutors.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene, prosecutors said, while the surviving victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Douglas is expected to be arraigned at 10 a.m. Wednesday in 36th District Court, prosecutors said.
