DETROIT — Marygrove College in Detroit will be giving away free school supplies, food, haircuts and more.
The "Back-to-School Empowerment Event" will be held inside the college's Madam Cadillac Hall from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Marygrove College is located at 8425 West McNichols in Detroit. Free parking is available on site.
The event is free and open to the public, while supplies last. In addition to the free school supplies, the event will also offer:
