DETROIT — A Detroit school bus driver was suspended and may be fired after fighting a seventh-grader on the bus, Detroit Public Schools said.
A social media video showed the driver and the girl throwing punches and wrestling with each other as other children were screaming on the bus in Detroit near Carver STEM Academy on Paul Street, between Evergreen Road and Southfield Freeway.
Detroit Public School officials didn't explain what sparked the fight, but the girl's family told Fox 2 Detroit the driver attacked after telling her to sit down. The bus driver was contracted through Trinity Transportation.
