Driver Goes Missing From Michigan Crash Scene On I-94

Police K-9 units were out Downriver Monday morning searching for a driver after a single-car crash and pools of blood were found on the road

TAYLOR, MI — Police called in K-9 units to track a person involved in a single-car crash on I-94 in Taylor after a pool of blood and empty car were found.

Michigan State Police said on Twitter that troopers responded to the crash on westbound I-94 near Beech Daly in Taylor on Monday morning and searched the Downriver area.

"The driver is missing from the scene and there is a large amount of blood at the scene," they said. "Troopers and K-9 units are checking the area."

Police closed down lanes to conduct the investigation and were able to find the person. Their identity has not been released.

Police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact the Metro South Post at 734-287-5000.
