Father Of 6 Attacked By Dogs, May Lose Arm

Harold Phillips was set as of Wednesday to undergo surgery to remove his right arm, according to his wife.

DETROIT — A father of six is hospitalized after he was mauled by three dogs.

Harold Phillips was on his way home from the mall when the attack occurred near West Chicago and Longacre Street in Detroit, according to FOX 2.

He was set as of Wednesday to undergo surgery to remove his right arm, his wife, Shauntaye Phillips, posted on a GoFundMe to raise money for his medical expenses. Five of the couple’s six children are under 18, she said.

“He is an amazing father and a good husband who takes pride in his family and we are asking for any help that y’all can give,” she wrote on the GoFundMe.

The dogs were taken into the custody of Detroit Animal Care and Control and their owner was cited for ordinance violations, according to FOX 2.
