Fiat Chrysler Adding Detroit Plant, Hundreds Of Jobs
Some 400 new jobs could come from the move, reports say.

DETROIT, MI — Fiat Chrysler is planning to open a new assembly plant in Detroit and that could bring hundreds of jobs, according to reports.
FCA is planning on preparing Engine Two Plant on Mack Avenue in Detroit to make a new three row Jeep Grand Cherokee starting in 2020. While other automakers have announced cuts recently, FCA has been seeing strong truck and SUV sales, reports say.
The move will add more than 400 jobs, according to CNBC.

The news comes just a week after General Motors announced it would be idling plants in Detroit and Warren, laying off a total of 14,700 workers in North America.
