Grammy-Nominated Artist To Perform Halftime At Lions Thanksgiving Game

Shaboozey, who won New Artist of 2024 and New Artist Song of 2024 awards at the People's Choice Country Awards, will perform at halftime.

DETROIT — Shaboozey, a six-time Grammy-nominated artist, will perform at halftime of the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day game, according to team officials.

Shaboozey's top song "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," has spent most of the year at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. That song has also accumulated over a billion streams across digital streaming platforms.

Shaboozey also became the first-ever Black artist to simultaneously top Billboard's Hot Country Songs and the Top Hot 100.

The hit song also helped Shaboozey win New Artist of 2024 and New Artist Song of 2024 awards at the People's Choice Country Awards. He was also nominated for Best New Artist and Song of the Summer nominations at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, and being named a TIME100 NEXT honoree.

The Lions play the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving at Ford Field in Downtown Detroit. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. The game will air on CBS.
